Highest GST Revenue collection in Himachal Pradesh ever in the month of April 2023
- Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise Yunuspur Himachal Pradesh said in a report that, the GST collection in the month of April is 19% more than the last year’s GST collected in the state of Himachal Pradesh, which is INR 593 crore. In the last year of April, the amount was INR 500 crore.
- The commissioner give a statement that to improve that in a better way department continued to focus on the timely completion of audits of GST, capacity building of the tax officers, monitoring returns, and speedy scrutiny of returns.
· In the period of April, in checking INR 42 lakh was recovered as a fine. The department focused on the verification of vertically 13 lakh e-way bills during the current financial year. And 94 thousand e-way bills were verified by the department during the road checking.
· Commissioner stated that the department is focusing on bogus taxpayers and several non-existing registrations have been detected. And strict actions are being taken against fake/fraudulent taxpayers.
· The department also recently inspected some firms which are suspected to be involved in giving bogus Input Tax Credits.
Total GST collection in April 2022 is the highest ever, surpassing the next highest collection of INR 1,42,095 Cr. which is incised by INR 25,000 Cr.
- The total GST revenue for the month of April 2022 is INR 1,67,540 crore, in which CGST is INR 33,159 crore & SGST is INR 41,793 crore, And the IGST is INR 15,81,939 crore including import of goods and Cess.
- The government of India has settled the amount of CGST with INR 33,423 crore & SGST with INR 26,962 crore. The total revenue of GST collection in both (Central and States) in the month of April 2022 after IGST regularization for CGST is INR 66,582 crore & for SGST is Rs 68,755 crore.
- The revenue from the import of goods and revenue from domestic transactions was higher as compared to revenue from the same month of last year from all the revenue sources.
