Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEIDA) has been issued Fraud alert.
- The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has issued a public notice to warn potential buyers about a bogus website – www.yamunaawasiyabhukhand.in – that sells residential plots comparable to the YEIDA’s plot programme, which will be offered in September 2022.
- The interface is similar to the official website – www.yamunaexpresswayauthority.com – and contains information about YEIDA’s initiatives near Noida Airport, Film City, and Logistics Hub, to name a few.
- The YEIDA public notice unambiguously establishes that no one other than the official website is entitled to sell land in the areas of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, and Agra that fall along the Yamuna Expressway.
- Given an increasing number of instances of fraud in the real estate sector, purchasers are recommended to exercise caution and double-check the details of the seller/builder/any other company before making any down payment.
- QR Code scams are a relatively recent addition to the list of such schemes. QR code fraud has increased dramatically in recent years. Cybercriminals take advantage of people’s lack of understanding and computer literacy. And victims include not just technically inept persons, but also educated people who utilise the Internet on a daily basis! Rajput Jain and Associates outlines dos and don’ts to avoid falling victim to QR code scams.
- Since YEIDA is actively developing the areas surrounding the Yamuna Expressway and carrying out relevant initiatives one after the other, interested applicants are encouraged to apply with care. Check the details carefully before making any payment and make sure the application is submitted via the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority official website only.
Tips for keeping in mind while buying or selling online Yamuna Expressway Authority Plot
Things to avoid | Things to do |
Do not pay any amount for booking a property without verifying the legitimacy of the property and the owner | Keep away from poorly listed advertisements with a lot of typos |
Do not hesitate. If you have been duped, report the case immediately to the bank and the police | In the case of property listings, pay the security amount only after physically visiting the property |
Do not buy from websites that do not have an HTTPS in the domain name | If you want to take a UPI payment, take it directly on the registered Cell No, instead of scanning the QR code |
If the money is debited once, do not repeat the transaction and get your UPI transactions blocked immediately | Be careful when someone is impersonating as Police personnel or Defence |
Do not scan a QR code for receiving a payment | Identify the red flags such as overt insistence on using only the QR code method of payment |
