The Payer / Deductor can use the 14-digit acknowledgment number to check the TAN status of the TIN NSDL. The status of the TAN application represents the status of the TAN application after 3 days of submission of the TAN application.
There are three ways to interpret the TIN NSDL position:
Step 1: Visit the NSDL-TIN website.
Select the “TAN” link from the “Services” drop-down list on the TIN-NSDL Portal screen.
Pick “Know Status of Your Application”
Step 2: Select “Know Status of Your Application” from the “TAN” segment. TIN-NSDL-Track TAN Status Link.
Step 3: Select the option “TAN – New / Change Request” from the drop-down list “Application Form”
Insert the 14-digit acknowledgment number in the chosen fields. TIN-NSDL-Track your TAN position
Step 4: Press on the option “Submit”
Before sending, enter the captcha code from the given image.
Thus, when you click on the “Send” button, the Position of your TAN will be shown.

If you have not made a payment online, sign this acknowledgment and return it with a check or DD. A DD or check should be made payable to Mumbai for the benefit of NSDL – TIN. Send it to the NSDL address given below:
Remember to superscribe this envelope as ‘TAN APPLICATION – (note your acknowledgment number)’
If you have paid online, just send the receipt of the confirmation. Please ensure that it reaches NSDL, Pune, within 15 days from the date of the online application. Your TAN application will be processed upon receipt of payment and acknowledgment.

Step 1: Visit the NSDL website (click here) to apply for a PAN Card online, where you can fill in all the relevant details.
Step 2: Since you are a new applicant, click on the ‘Apply Online’ link in the upper left corner.

Step-4: There is a need to fill in the required category with information after selecting your category. In the PAN application process, you have to mention details that include the title, last name, first name and middle name, date of birth (DOB), contact number, and email address for these pages.
Step-5: You will have to re-type a captcha code after providing the appropriate data and then click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step-6: The website provides you with a 15-digit acknowledgment number after submitting the details.
Step -07:In the next 15 working days, you will obtain a PAN Card.

The e-PAN is a digitally signed PAN card issued by the Income Tax Department using the Aadhaar e-KYC in electronic format.
The E-PAN has a QR code that contains demographic information of holders of PAN cards, such as the name, date of birth, and photographs of the individual. This information is accessible and duly recognized via a QR code reader.
This facility is available for those PAN applicants who have a valid Aadhaar number and a mobile number registered with Aadhaar. The allocation process is paperless and the applicants are given an electronic PAN (e-PAN) at no cost.
On the NSDL website, you can apply for an E-PAN card. An e-mail will be sent to you from where it can be downloaded. Applicants who are applying for an E-PAN Card must submit an online application form with the processing fee. If the process has been successful, then E-PAN will be sent to you at your email address.
