And during this time your payment with wrong pan amount may take times to credit in your bank account.<\/p>\n<p>If your Aadhaar is linked with an incorrect PAN or your PAN is linked with an incorrect Aadhaar, follow these steps to correct the linkage:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Submit_a_Delinking_Request\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>How to Submit a Delinking Request<\/strong>:<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Visit your Jurisdictional Assessing Officer (JAO). Submit a formal request to delink the incorrect Aadhaar from your PAN. Ensure you provide necessary documents and details to support your request.<\/li>\n<li>The JAO will process your request and delink the incorrect Aadhaar from your PAN. This may take some time, so monitor the status if possible.<\/li>\n<li>Original Aadhaar card and PAN card.\u00a0 A complaint letter detailing the issue, including the incorrect PAN linked to your Aadhaar.<\/li>\n<li>After delinking, you need to link the correct Aadhaar with your PAN.<\/li>\n<li>Log in to the Income Tax e-filing portal (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.incometax.gov.in\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.incometax.gov.in<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to the &#8216;Link Aadhaar&#8217; section.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Attach_Required_Documents\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Attach Required Documents<\/strong>:<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Correct Aadhaar Copy<\/strong>: Self-attested.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Correct PAN Copy<\/strong>: Self-attested with the note \u201cThis is my correct PAN\u201d.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incorrect PAN Copy<\/strong>: Self-attested with the note \u201cThis is not my PAN\u201d.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Form 16\/16A<\/strong>: If available, for the correct PAN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Submit_Documents_to_Assessing_Officer_%E2%80%93_Prepare_the_Documents\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Submit Documents to Assessing Officer &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Prepare the Documents<\/strong>:<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Print the grievance submitted online. Ensure that details in both PAN and Aadhaar databases match.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tin-nsdl.com\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TIN-NSDL website<\/a> or the <a target=\"_new\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UTIISL PAN Online Portal<\/a> to update your PAN details if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/uidai.gov.in\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UIDAI website<\/a> to update your Aadhaar details if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Attach the documents specified above.<\/li>\n<li>Write a covering letter including your name, address, email ID, phone number, correct PAN, Aadhaar number, and a brief description of the issue. Optionally, include your Aadhaar update history (download from <a href=\"https:\/\/uidai.gov.in\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">uidai.gov.in<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Before submitting the linking request, you may need to pay the applicable fee. This can usually be done through the e-filing portal or other authorized payment channels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensure you have the payment receipt as proof.\u00a0 \u00a0Check if the payment was made under minor head code 5003. If there are issues with the payment reflecting, lodge a grievance or contact the helpdesk.<\/li>\n<li>Once the fee is paid, submit the request to link your correct Aadhaar with your PAN through the e-filing portal.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the required details.<\/li>\n<li>After submission, the system will process your request.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive a confirmation message once the Aadhaar is successfully linked with your PAN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By following above steps, you can correct any discrepancies in your Aadhaar-PAN linkage.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_Not_related_to_delinking_your_Aadhaar_from_the_wrong_PAN\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Key Not related to <strong>delinking your Aadhaar from the wrong PAN.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No Refund of Fees<\/strong>: Fees paid under section 234H for late linkage of PAN-Aadhaar under minor head 500 are non-refundable.<\/li>\n<li>Only individuals who are eligible to obtain an Aadhaar number are required to comply with this section.<\/li>\n<li>Check if the payment was made under minor head code 5003. If there are issues with the payment reflecting, lodge a grievance or contact the helpdesk.<\/li>\n<li>If an individual has applied for Aadhaar but has not yet received it, the Enrolment ID can be used temporarily.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring compliance with Section 139AA is crucial for seamless filing of income tax returns and for the application of a new PAN.
